Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Back to School

It is back to school today for my 5 year old niece and it is cold out there.  I have made her some new cardigans and a jumper in her school uniform colours, I think she is going to need them this week.

They are made in King Cole Cherish Double Knit and the patterns are Stylecraft 4909 and Stylecraft 4910.

    1. Oh, poor Hollie tonsillitis is wretched, I know, I used to get it a lot when I was younger. I wish her better soon and I hope Ellie does not get it.

It has been bitterly cold here for the last couple of days but it is typically much colder where you are - I know, we are mollycoddled down here.

      Keep warm.

  2. As always, these are just so beautifully and perfectly done. I would imagine schools are a lot colder at the moment and that's even without the current cold snap! xxx

    1. Thank you for all of your lovely comments. It certainly has turned cold.

I love these patterns, lots of stocking stitch, so I could make them whilst hanging around in the hospital - the trouble is I got into the habit of knitting all day and have not broke it yet, so housework is the last thing on my to do list!
