Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Mint Jacket

After a brief hiatus from knitted jackets and cardigans on Friday, I'm back with a very quick post this morning to show you this mint jacket.  (My apologies for the poor lighting on the photograph, this little jacket is actually a pretty mint colour  - I suppose you could call it aqua.)

The design has an attractive picot edge and, as you can see, no buttons.  This is a UK Hand Knitting Association pattern, reference number UKHKA 82.  The jacket is made in baby double knit yarn.

I did say it was a quick post!

    1. Thank you Mrs Beez. I think I may have run out of things to say about knitted cardigans. With my next post I shall probably just talk about the weather or the new John Lewis advert!

      Have a great week.

    1. Sadly, I never take very good photos, the flash washes all of the colour out. Although this time of year does not help, does it?

      Many thanks for the tip.

      Have a great weekend.

    2. I took 14 pics of mine and only one passable but colour still not right -we have windows at each end of our living room and same pic taken at each end has completely different colours-have even laid a white board on toilet seat and tried in bathroom--- desperate measures lol

    3. Ha ha ha ha, you do make me laugh. I do not go to that extreme. I try to set up a niche in front of the window in my lounge using a couple of mount boards, my ironing board and a couple of floor standing Otte lights - and still my photos are rubbish. As you say desperate measures.
