Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Going Postal

I thought you deserved a break from my seemingly endless posts of knitted cardigans - I am sorry about that.

Today I thought that I would share with you a one of Julie William's Little Cotton Rabbits.  I had a little fun with this one and tinkered with the design to create a little post girl.

My nephew's partner works for The Post Office and I thought that for her birthday she might like a little bunny wearing her summer uniform.  I had to be a little creative here and there, but, I did my best.

I gave her a large fluffy tail and some big comfy knickers.

The Post Office uniform has a red polo shirt - the yellow button is meant to represent The Post Office logo ....

 and grey shorts.

This was my first (and so far only) attempt at making the Little Cotton Rabbit Trainers.

The shorts have a slot for the tail to go through.

These bunnies have really sweet faces.

I 'hop' you have enjoyed my Little Cotton Rabbit.

    1. Te he, thank you Carol. Some of these Little Cotton Rabbit patterns come with knickers - and some without. But my sister tells me off if I do not put knickers on all of them, it is a little 'bee' of hers!

    1. Thank you Lisette. Those tiny shoes were very fiddly, they took me about 3 days to make just the shoes, I wasn't knitting all the time of course, but I kept putting them down to give my fingers and eyes a break. Even after all of that, they ended up with a mistake in them, but I decided no one else would notice the error and left it in.

I made these in the summer but I have been practicing my shoes the last week or two, just wait 'til you see what I have been up to now. Ha ha.
