Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

All Wrapped Up

It seems that I spoke too soon yesterday when I said that we were not suffering the storms the rest of the country were experiencing.  Last night Storm Eleanor hit us, bringing high winds and even more rain.

I am afraid that I still posting my Christmas cards, but I am almost done ...... I promise!

Oops, another card with bad lighting, I am so sorry but the backing paper should be a glorious Christmas red.  It is from a Dovecraft paper stack called 'Winter Blooms'.  All of these fabulous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I cannot recall where I got this stamp from, I have had it some time and my memory is not what it was!  I coloured it with my polychromos pencils and mounted it first on gold card and them bronze glitter card.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

    1. Thank you, it is a shame that the background colour is so off, it looked so much better in real life.

Around the time you were woken up by the storm I heard an almighty crash outside, we have looked today but we have not discovered what it was, I hope this means that there was little damage. The high winds continued here until about 5 this evening.

Also love that snowflake and how you use it. Might invest in that die! X

    1. Thank you, the colour of the glitter card is called Rose Gold - it came from Pocketfold Invites Ltd vie ebay.

The snowflake die was one of the most used I have and I would highly recommend it.
