Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Cruising

Thank you for making the time to visit my blog today.  I have a card to share with you today.

I have a nephew who is mad about cars, so I thought that this Vintage Chevy from Delicious Doodles might make an ideal birthday card for him.

I used my F&C polychromos pencils to colour the image, then I mounted it on silver mirri and dark green pearilised cards.

The tartan backing paper was from a First Edition paper stack.  The gems and sentiment are from my stash.

I hope you have a great week.

  1. This is fabulous Dionne! I love that car image and I love the way you coloured it with only the red parts coloured in! In photography, we call that a colour splash, and it is highly effective!! The plaid paper backing is super fun and your trademark mirror paper always adds that extra something!! Love it my friend!

Well I'm wrapping up in the craft room today with my fourth card in four days. With nothing to see outside, I've been getting extra time inside to catch up with things, but they say snow for tomorrow so I'm getting my camera bag ready to go!! haha. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my whole entire 1cm of white stuff! hugs :)

    1. We have got sub zero temperatures every day, it was minus 5 degrees yesterday, but it is very dry so no snow. I think it would actually be warmer if it snowed. I hope you get some snow tomorrow so we can see some great photos.

I can see you have been very busy in your craft room, your cards must take hours and hours to make so 4 in as many days is pretty good going, still it is a good way to stay warm.

The nice thing about knitting is no craft room so I can knit whilst watching TV and I can take it with me if I go to visit family and friends.

      Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

      Dionne xx
