Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Butterfly Swing

The current Crafty Boots Challenge is one of my favourite themes, 'Butterflies and Bees'.  I have so many suitable images as well as dozens of butterfly die cuts and bee charms.

Today's card was really quick and easy to make with my latest Presscut card die.


This card may have been simple to make with this die but it was very difficult to photograph, it reminds me of the optical illusion where everyone is walking around the stairs!


The die pack includes all of the panels as well as the actual card.  I chose red glitter card for the panels and, naturally, the central panel features a butterfly made from sculpted feathers.  The sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

There is still plenty of time for you to enter your butterfly or bee project into this Crafty Boots Challenge.

    When you say it was simple and easy to make this... :) It looks so complex and beautiful! It is an amazing card.

      The die did all of the hard work, the hardest thing I had to do was pull the backing off the double-sided tape. He he.
