Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Splash!

Woo hoo, it is Friday!  I am really looking forward to this weekend because we are off to the theatre tomorrow.  I love the theatre and we try to go half a dozen times a year to our local theatre - it is a very friendly theatre where they all seem to know us, it is very intimate yet they perform a wide variety of shows and they are very talented group.  They started out performing plays in the ruins of an open air theatre and they have gradually got the money together to build a small theatre and now they are building a second, larger auditorium and entertainment complex.  They are a real success story.

But before I get carried away with my weekend plans I want to share the last of the cards I made for the current Crafty Boots Challenge 'Spring in the Air'.

This cute little image is called 'Splash!', it is from Mo's Digital Pencil - isn't she sweet?

I coloured the image with Promarkers and mounted it on some gold mirri and Real Red card, it and the red polka dot paper are from Stampi' Up and the green floral paper is from a DoveCraft paper stack called Back to Basics II.  The sentiment is by Craftwork cards.

These spring cards have been such a joy to make and there is still a little time for you to enter your spring projects into this Crafty Boots Challenge.

Good luck.

  1. Beautiful Dionne! I love the colour combo! Red and green I would normally associate with Christmas, but you make them look so natural for every day! Well done! hugs :)
