Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

April Showers

A pinch and punch it's the first day of the month!

Regular visitors will know that the theme of the current Crafty Boots challenge is 'Spring is in the Air'.

It may only be the first of the month but we have already seen plenty of April Showers this week and I could certainly do with a sturdy pair of Wellington Boots and a big umbrella, just like this little guy.


He is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called 'Sunshine'.  After colouring him with Promarker I mounted him some gold mirri and Real Red card.  I did my best to cut a cloud freehand to put my number 6 on.  The rather stormy looking backing paper is also from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

    What a sweet image Dionne! Love his little yellow raincoat, great contrast with the red umbrella! Wonderful details you included, like the scalloped edges and the layer of mirror paper, love it all!! hugs :)

    Fab stormy background and I love the yellow and red together. I've been caught out twice this week and got a soaking - didn't even have my broken umbrella with me :) xx
