Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Monochrome Magic

A new challenge started this week at Crafty Boots Challenges.  The theme for this fortnight is 'Monochrome'.

I have got totally carried away with this challenge and I combined it with my need to really get on with my Christmas cards.  Today I have three cards to share with you but that is just the tip of the iceberg, wait and see what I have up my sleeve for next week!

All three of these cards feature two Snowflake Reindeer stamps from Kanban Crafts, I have had these stamps in my stash a very long time but this is the first time I have used them.

I embossed some white card for the background and mounted the stamp on some glitter card.  The paper flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the coloured card is from Stampin' Up.

My colleagues on the Design Team at Crafty Boots Challenges have excelled themselves, so make sure you pop by and check out their inspirational projects.

    1. Be afraid Mrs Beez, be very afraid. Just you wait until you see what else I have done .... I got a bit carried away with my monochrome idea, which is why my post was so late.
