Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Winter Bear

It's New Years Eve, I am hoping to spend this evening with friends, we usually see in the New Year with a glass of Champagne.  How will you spend your evening?

My card features another of the images that I recently found in a folder, so apologies for not being able to tell you the name of this stamp.  I coloured the image with F&C polychromos pencils.

I used Aleene's Glitter Snow to highlight the snowflakes and the trim on his little hat, I also used it on the Christmas trees and the pine branch.

I should like to wish all of my followers a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2017.  Take care.

    1. It sounds like you had a fabulous Christmas, very different from my own this your. For the first time in 38 years my husband and I spent Christmas Day on our own. It was very peaceful and relaxing. I thought I would miss the chaos but I actually enjoyed it.

I did not do so well with the fur on this image (unlike the recent HouseMouse cards). I used pencils here and a blender pencil to mix the fur colours together - with hindsight I think I should have gone over it again to add individual hairs.
