Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Fishing on a Star!

Hi

How was your Christmas Day?  I hope it was a happy time for you and your family.  It is time for the Crafty Boots Challenges Winter Wonderland Challenge.

A very quick post from me today because it is hectic around here at the moment.

I used Promarkers to colour this seriously cute little image and I mounted it on silver mirri and blue card.  The paper came from a HouseMouse CD and the snowflakes are a Cheery Lynn die.  The silver glitter washi tape is from my stash.

I used Aleene's Glitter Snow for the snowflakes and fur texture.

We have two wonderful Guest Designers at Crafty Boots Challenges today, please pop along and see the beautiful projects created by Lisa and Kathie.

  2. Such a wonderful card! It looks sparkly! I hope you have a great Christmas. I have been offline for about 4 days so I am catching up to everything. Our Christmas went pretty well!! My kids got tons of gifts that they actually wanted (except for when they get clothes..haha) but my daughter was sad that there was NO SNOW. She asked me if Christmas was still coming. :( I felt so bad but she forgot once we started getting ready.

    Have a great week!!

    1. Thank you, there is quite a bit of sparkle in this card - although I do not think Aleene's Glitter Snow is as sparkly as you would expect from it's name.

This is such a busy time of year and I have not been able to get around all of the craft blogs as often as I would like, I will eventually catch up.

I am sure your children had a lovely Christmas but wouldn't snow be a little difficult, did you not once mention that you live in a warm state? It has turned muh colder here today but I do not think we shall have snow.

I do live in a warm area but we have very very unpredictable weather where its almost freaky. The northern parts actually got snow but did not make it to my area. I think everybody had wishful thinking lol. Its so weird when it is Christmas and we barely need a jacket!

    1. Opps, I must apologise, somehow I managed to delete your comment, I have done my best to restore it.

We also had an exceptionally mild Christmas Day but 3 days later it turned unbelievably cold - but no snow.
