Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Join the Christmas Train

Just a quick post today as I am running a bit late.

I love this toy train image from A Day for Daisies, it is called 'Choo Choo Train', it is perfect for either a little boy's birthday or a Christmas card.  I wanted a card for a gift voucher for my young nephew and this long thin image seemed the perfect shape.

After colouring the train with Promarkers I added his name with peel-of stickers.  I then mounted it on some gold mirri card.  The peeled paint backing paper came from a digital paper stack, but I am afraid I cannot remember which company I got it from, it was possible Bearly Mine.  The little sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up.

  1. Such a cute design, love it!

I’m back! what with being off colour and then computer problems it’s been a bit of a pain on all counts, but things have improved and I’m back to cheer you on with your lovely creations. All my BEST WISHES for the NEW YEAR too!!

    1. Hi Jacee, you have been missed. I had assumed that you had been too busy to visit because of the time of year. I am so sorry to hear that you have been unwell. I am so glad things have improved all round and I send you best wishes for New Year.

  2. What a great idea for a gift card - I bet he loved it. Jack would have loved this when he was younger - and probably still would!!! xx

    1. Some little boys never grow up, which is just as well because nice male images are hard to find. The best thing about this one is that it takes moments to colour.

      Happy New Year.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I look forward to reading your feedback on my work. I hope you will visit again.
