Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Christmas Challenge

It hardly seems possible that we are approaching Christmas again.  It seems only weeks ago that I was complaining that I am no where near ready for Christmas and next year I am going to start my preparations earlier.

Unfortunately, twelve months later and I am no better prepared this year, I am afraid it is in my nature to leave things until the last minute.

Crafty Boots Challenges starts a new challenge today, for next two weeks we would like to see your Christmas projects.


For my card today I have chosen this vintage look Delicious Doodles image called 'Snowy Postbox'.  I coloured the image with my F&C polychromos pencils and mounted it on some patterned silver mirri.  I then covered the card blank with some deep red glitter card and attached the image.  The sentiment is a Stampin' Up stamp and the wooden snowflake charms are also from Stampin' Up.  Finally, I added a touch of frosting with my Wink of Stella brush pen.

    Wonderful Dionne! Another fabulous image, wow! I love how you add just a whisper of colour and that glitter paper is fantabulous!! Such a festive card! Now that my Mondays are free again, I am throwing my hat in the ring for this yummy theme! hugs til next time :)

    Great card - love that snowy image and how you have added the colour so subtly. As always your background and embellishments showcase it perfectly. Love those snowflakes - can't believe I haven't seen them! xx
