Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Back to School

Today my little nephew went back to school after his half term break.  I met up with him and his cousin one day last week and we had a fantastic day but they are growing up so fast, too fast if you ask me.

I had knitted my nephew a couple of cardigans for his school uniform and left them with his mum.  Judging by the way the temperature has plummeted this week I think he is going to need them.

I also made him a little card, which I should like to share with you today.

Th image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called "To School A".  I coloured it with Promarkers and mounted it on glod mirri and blue card.  The backing papers are by Dovecraft.

No matter how hard I try I cannot get my knitting projects to photograph nicely, there must be some trick to it but I cannot work out what it is.

I really  must get on with the cardigans I am making for his cousin.

  1. Gorgeous card - love the strips of paper topped with the card candi. The image reminds me of Freddie as he set of on his first school trip yesterday! That cardigan is so cuddly - could do with one of those myself :)

    1. Thanks you , the way the weather has turned I think he is going to need his chunky cardies. I must get on with his cousins. I think the card candi must have moved slightly as I set the card aside to dry, lol!

    1. Ah you see my photography is not that good, no one has spotted that they are two different cardigans - one round neck and the other v. Lol! Thank you though, the card is more classic me.
