Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Lavender's Blue, Dilly, Dilly

It is rare for me to post anything on a Saturday but, if you are a regular visitor, you will know that I have been busy this week making cards using my poppy stamps.  However, I have not had time to past them all, so I am a little behind.

Today I have a card using Stampin' Up's Pleasant Poppies stamp.

I coloured the stamp with Promarkers in lilac and lavender tones,  then mounted it onto some purple glitter card.  The backing papers are from DoveCraft and the flowers are from Petaloo, I made the leaves from white glitter card.

The current Crafty Boots Challenge is Remembrance, don't forget to go and see all of the amazing projects on the Crafty Boots blog, which both the Guest Designers and the rest of the Design Team have been busy making.

  2. Thank you. I am loving the poppies, I think that in my head this Challenge has become Poppies, not Remembrance.
