Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Halloween Grab Bags

Wooow.

I have such a busy day today, I have been finishing my grab bags for this evening and filling them with goodies.  Later I have my pumpkins to carve and somewhere I have to find time to do the shopping.

Here are some of my brag bags:

I made 8 in all.  I bought a pack of plain brown bags and orange and black tissue paper.

To make my mummy I started with a 6" x 6" square of black card.

Next I cut circles white from white card for the eyes and coloured black pupils with a marker pen.

Next I tore stripes of white card and distressed the edges with Photo Finish.

Finally I glued the strips to the black card and left space for the eyes.

Once the mummy was attached to the bag I die cut Halloween images from black card and stuck them to the bags.

I hope you have a happy Halloween with lots of treats and no tricks.

  1. Oh wow Dionne these are fabulous and how lucky are your Halloween visitors. If I'd known I would have made a trip south especially. The inking is perfect :)

    1. Thank you Lisette. They were so easy to make, the hardest thing was ripping the white card - you can tell I do not do this type of thing as a rule. Lol!
