Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Bewitched
The current challenge, or should I say challenges, over at Crafty Boots Challenges have been inspired by this time of year, there is a choice of theme, either 'Autumn' or 'Halloween'.
Today I have an Halloween card to share with you.
I coloured a Prima Doll stamp with Promarkers and I made my own witches hat (between you and me, it looks a little better in real life than it has come out in the photo). I wanted to make the card all about the witch so I kept the background very plain and mounted it on some rich brown glitter card and added a sentiment and three tiny pumpkins.
The pumpkins are from real plants, I think they are seed pods of an exotic plant, these were a gift from my good friend Lisette, aka Mrs Beez. They are really amazing but I am afraid I have no idea what they are called.
There is still plenty of time for you to enter your favourite project in the Crafty Boots Challenge.

This is wonderful Dionne! Your witch is gorgeous, great job on her dress and the hat you made is fantastic! You did Halloween and Autumn in the same card! Fabulous brown glitter paper and the little pumpkins are amazing! love it :)
ReplyDeleteYou make me blush!
DeleteI love the colours you have chosen for this - and the way you have coloured is incredible. It took a moment for brain to realise that this was colouring and not fabric! The addition of the hat is just fabulous. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, I think I over exposed the photo, the folds look better in real life.
DeleteFabulous card, I love the idea of adding the hat to make it Halloween themed
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for leaving a lovely comment on my blog
