Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Bunches

Happy St George's Day.

Thank you for dropping by today.  I hope you are having a good week.

My old boss recently retired from work, she is a terrific person and a delight to work for.  A lot of people are going to miss her, she has made a difference to a lot of people's lives.

I wanted to make her a special card, she loves her garden and flowers, so I chose this little cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil, the image is called 'Bunches'.

I coloured the image with Promarkers then mounted it on silver mirri and copper coloured glitter card.  The backing paper is a frosted gold card.

I cut the butterflies from silver and red glitter card.  The flowers and hat pins are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The current challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges is 'Sparkle', why not enter your sparkling creations.

  1. Is this the card you made just before you got ready to go to her leaving do???? It is amazing and super special for someone who loves the garden and flowers. That arrangement is fabulous and I love the hatpins peeking out. The image is so cute, the colours are gorgeous and I don't know how you have the patience to colour in the bouquet. I bet she absolutely loved this! xx

  2. Yes, this is the card. I was a little worried that the glue had not dried enough to keep the flowers in place. Lol!
