Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.


I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

No Girls Allowed Challenge, It's Lads Tags Only

Good morning and a very Merry Christmas wish to each and everyone one of us!

Today sees a new challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges and it gives you an opportunity to escape all things Christmas for a while, if you so choose.  The theme of this challenge was selected by the immensely talented Red Kitty and is entitled 'No Girls Allowed, Lads Tags Only'.

My tag features a Saturated Canary image called 'Skateboarding'.


As this is a lads tag I did not want to make it fussy, so, after colouring it with Promarkers, I distressed it around the edges just a little with Stormy Sky and added a sentiment and some bakers twine.

The rest of the team have made some amazing tags, pop over to the Crafty Boots Challenges site to get some inspiration.
