Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Get Ready to Party!

Good morning.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and a special welcome to anyone finding their way here for the first time.

There is a new challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges this morning, isn't it amazing how quickly these special Monday's come around?

The challenge is to design a gift tag or an invitation for a special event, for instance, Christmas, or a birthday, or an anniversary, or Halloween this challenge was set by the gorgeous Sara.

I was very tempted to design an invitation for Christmas or the New Year party but as there seems to be so much excitement around Halloween this year I decided on a Halloween Party Invitation in the end.

This image is by Sylvia Zet, I find all of her images really adorable, I do not think my niece and nephew will be scared (note to self, make sure you type scared, and not scarred, although, come to think of it, either would be appropriate!) of these two little sweeties.

The image is called Batty Boo!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and used mirri card and some glittered card to mount it.  The ribbons are from my stash.

The rest of the design Team have created some amazing projects, please hop across to the Crafty Boots Challenge blog to see them for yourself and, whilst you are there, don't forget to enter your own creations into the Challenge.

Good luck.

  4. This is adorable and of course I LOVE the glittery background. Those bows are amazing - do you tie them freehand or do you use a gadget?

  9. Hi Dionne
Thank you for popping by, that's very sweet. What can I say my health is still terrorizing me. At least the sun came out today which lifted my spirits a bit and I even did a bit of crafting. A card for a little girl's birthday in December which I was looking forward to make this one because I do not get to make many female cards. There was quite a bit of noise from fireworks yesterday and today as well. I did not even see any just heard the noise.
Hope you are doing well,Dionne yourself and thank you very much for thinking of me and popping by! That's very kind and heart warming.
