Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

A Jolly Spring Clean

Good morning

All go here today, all these fabulous Teddy Bo & Co images about spring cleaning, which I have been using to illustrate the current Crafty Boots Challenge, have finally given me a big enough hint and I have got my bucket and mop out and started to put a bit of the sparkle back around here...... only joking, would I clean when I could be crafting!

This image is called Jolly Cleans up High, well where else would you expect a giraffe to clean!

After colouring the image with Promarkers, I added Glossy Accents to the bucket to give it a bit of a shine.  The image is mounted on silver mirri card.  Both the glittered  floral paper and the fabulous cup cake paper are from a Papermania stack designed by Lucy Cromwell .  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.  The doily and the little gems are from my stash.  Finally, I added a little piece of butter muslin

There is still time to enter your project in this Challenge, pop over to Crafty Boots Challenges enter your project.

  1. Hi Dionne
Brilliant card! That backing paper you used looks very yummy. Beautiful image again. Who knew there were so many images to remind us of cleaning! Again love that little cloth bit behind your sentiment and the use of the doily too.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  2. Do not worry,Dionne! I found it on Pick TV (I never watched anything on this channel before) and caught it from episode 2. I have not been watching much TV but enjoying taking the trip down the memory lane. Can't believe how young those actors and actress look like, that must mean I aged too. I did not even notice (LOL).

  3. This is fab - cute and elegant at the same time. I seem to have missed a batch of your posts :( (not sure what's been going on with my laptop)and love all these cleaning ones. I think it's that you do such fantastic backgrounds as well as superb colouring that makes your cards so special. This one is brilliant.
