Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Lucy's Birthday Card

Yesterday I shared with you a card I had made from a shop bought card. Today, I have a further confession - it wasn't the only card I repurposed.

Whilst I had my trimmer and Kanban letters & numbers out, I gave another card the same treatment for my youngest niece, Lucy, who is a little older than her cousin but they are the best of friends. Take a really fun image, add some additional lettering, flat backed gems, some Glossy Accents, foam pads, ribbon, bow and mirri board ....

.... and we have a re-vamped birthday card.

It's been a while since I used them last and I had completely forgotten how fiddly sticky foam pads can be!

I hope today is a special day.

  1. Hi Carol

I am afraid that your comment was not saved again, what on earth is going on here?. Anyhow, I have done as before and copied it from my email.

'Another great recycled/revamped card and love the monsters image.I noticed your friend had managed to comment too.

    1. Hi Carol

MrsBeez has worked out how to leave comments, but only on her laptop, she still cannot comment from her phone. What with that and, how every so often, comments are not saved on here, it's happened to you twice and now twice for her as well.

I love this image and, between you and me, I think it looks even better now that it has been framed. I think both of these cards came out pretty well and I am tempted to try it again some time.

    1. Ha ha, I always knew we were craft-wired the same way, it's why we made such a great team back in the days of Crafty Boots Challenges!
