Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

A Little Birdie Told Me

I hope you are having a great day.  I am back with another bitrhday card to share with you from one of the fabulous Honkydory kits.

I am loving this kit, it is so versatile and inspiring.  I have kept the layout flat-ish because I need to send it through the post and I do not want to incur additional charges.  All of the elements you can see in the card come from the kit, except the mirri and glitter cards and the ribbon.

I hope to see you again tomorrow.

    1. Thank you Faith, I have a new trimmer and I am having trouble squaring up the card on it, I'll get the hang of it ... or go back to my old trimmer!

    1. Thank you. I always love reading your comments but I guess that means I am a bit vein and it is rather like having my ego stroked. On the other hand, I have not made cards for some time and it is good to know that I have not completely lost my touch.
