Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The White Rabbit

Now I know this little rabbit looks like the Tiny Rabbit, there is a good reason for this.  After I made Tiny Rabbit the granddaughter of a friend saw her and fell in love with her.  However, Tiny Rabbit was promised to another so I quickly made this little sweetie for my friend's granddaughter.

This is one of Julie Williams 'Little Cotton Rabbits' patterns, she is based on the pattern 'Bunny Girl in a Dotty Dress', however, for speed I missed out her tights and shoes.

This rabbit is made from Baby Double Knit yarn and she had a gorgeous fluffy tail.

Her dress is one of Pam Clydd designs, called 'Red Tulips Dress', which I got from Ravelry.  It is made from 4 ply cotton.

  1. I think the bunny rabbits are my absolute favourite! I could pick this sweet thing up and hug her to bits! Her dress is just darling, and that wee bushy little tail of hers brings a big smile to my face!

It's been a long two weeks fighting off this darned flu bug, but I'm on the mend now. Being sick is so freaking boring, so I'm really looking forward to my next outdoor adventure. I hope you have been avoiding the ickies this year and having good weather to enjoy. sending hugs :)

    1. Me too, I think the bunnies are the best of these patterns. There are several animals in this series which I have not made yet, like the fox, pig and sheep (but no squirrels yet), so we may find something even cuter than the bunnies.

So sorry to hear that you have had the flu. A lot of my friends have had this, so called, Australian flu and they have been extremely ill, I hope you have not had this strain. So far I have managed to avoid it - and them whilst they have been ill. Get well soon.

  3. Hello friend! Adorable bunny! Excellent work!! I enjoy seeing your creations especially all the little outfits. Me and the family are sick but not necessarily the flu...as we are getting better but it is no fun. With my youngest daughter, I get scared and constantly watch her symptoms. She is doing better but it is so scary these days. Hope all is well with you!!
