Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Wish You Were Here

Hi

These lovely sunny summer days just seem to go on and on, and, as you know, over at Crafty Boots Challenges we are celebrating Summer Holidays.  Some time ago I made some postcards for a project, this was one of them.  The Summer Holidays Challenge made me think of this postcard and I decided to up-cycle it into a little card.

This sweet image is from Mo's Digital Pencil, it is called Pineapple Girl.

I coloured the image with Promakers., then I mounted it on some silver mirri card and made the 'Wish you Were Here' sentiment on the computer. I cut it to the standard postcard size of 4 ¼” x 6”.  The backing papers are from Dove Craft and the sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

What do summer holidays mean to you?
