Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas Express

Welcome to my blog, I confess that there is little point in writing this if no one reads it, so I do this in the hope that you will drop by.

The theme of the current Crafty Boots Challenge is 'Christmas in July'.  To get me in the mood when I was making my Design Team pieces I popped Polar Express on the DVD player ... I think that must have been where I got the inspiration for this card.

The image is from A Day for Daisies and is called Choo Choo Train.  I used my Promarkers to colour it and I picked out the flags with some green Martha Stuart glitter.  I mounted it on some green Centura Pearl card and gold glitter card.  The backing paper is from Kanban Crafts.

A few weeks ago I bought a bag of resin 'sweet things' from ebay, this lolly pop and bag of sweets were in the bag.  Aren't they cute?  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Thank you for dropping by today, please come again.

  1. I love what you have done with that image, especially the Christmas colours and the glittery flags. So pleased to see your sweetie embellishments have come out to play too - they are just so cute and even more so on the card.xx
