Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Blue and White

Hi

How was your weekend? It was cold, wet and very windy where I was, in fact, we even had hailstones a few times. I am hoping that the weather will improve this week.

A new challenge starts at Crafty Boots Challenges today. For the next two weeks the theme, which has been set by the very talented Zoe, is BLUE AND WHITE. Zoe has three great passions in her life, he family, crafting and football. Blue and white just happens to be the colours of her favourite team.

A little bird tells me that it is also Zoe's birthday this week.  Happy birthday Zoe.

My blue and white card features this super cute image from Tebby Bo & Co and is called 'What a Jolly Present'.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then mounted it on silver mirri and blue pearlescent card.  The polka dot backing paper is from Dovecraft and the one with words is from a Forever Friends New Baby stack.  I then added the number 4, which is from Kanban Crafts, and the sentiment, which is a stamp from Stampin' Up.

Please take a look at the inspirational projects made by the rest of the Crafty Boots Challenges design team.

Good luck.
