Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue
It is time for another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges. In celebration of the imminent wedding of our beloved leader, Stephanie-Emma has chosen the theme of 'Something old, something new, something borrowed or something blue'.
I have done my best to incorporate all four elements of the challenge into my project, but you do not have to do that, you can choose any of the four.
My Sizzix heart die and the pink glitter card are my something old and the roses, the 'Love' ticket, lace and buttons are all from my new Stampin' Up Artisian Embellishment Kit.
I have had my Penny Back stamp of of the bride for a couple of years but this is the first time I have used it, so I am not sure which camp it goes in. I added some glitter to the dress and veil.
Something borrowed, I borrowed the Sizzix Bigz tag die from Stephanie-Emma. I distressed the edges of the tag with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
And finally, my something blue comes in the shape of a button and the ribbon in the tag.
The rest of the Design Team have created some really amazing projects, please make time to take a look for yourself.
Have a fabulous wedding Ms and Mr Boots, we wish you long and happy life together.

What a lovely wedding tag, Dionne! So soft, and delicate; perfect I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, you've done a grand job. I was rubbish and didn't get to do anything as I was writing an article for Rovers & making a wedding card for Mr & Mrs Boots! Now I need to get on with my brother's birthday cards and cards for my mum! Take care lovely. Zo xx

P.S. Hope you are OK.My e-mail still does not work and on the top of everything my o2 broadband provider is being sold to SKY which I am furious about!!!

Hi Dionne
ReplyDeleteMy laptop is still in the same state as it was. I had someone come out to look at it but that so called tech guy was completely useless (except checking it for viruses etc. which I did not have)... he could not even work out my troubles with my e-mails, never mind problems with my browsers.
We have TV with SKY and their service sucks to be honest... some of my favourite TV channels do not work even after countless visits from their engineers .... can't even imagine having broadband with them when they can't even deliver TV channels we are paying for! Not that long ago I read a few articles that SKY had too many of their broadband customers already and could not cope with the load.... I wonder what they are going to do with extra 500 000 now ( we are one of them ). I am going to sit and wait and see how we get on with our connection when it is fully transferred to SKY and what contract they are going to offer to us because I can't see them matching my current O2 offers and customer and technical service which is the best ever I have come across with O2. Who knows some people get excellent broadband with certain providers others complain about them! Time will tell.
