Good morning dear blogland friends, how was your weekend?
I keep looking for signs of spring but it is still very cold here and we keep having the occasional flurries of snow. However, there are some indications that the warmer weather is coming with the snowdrops on the ground and the daffodils are pocking their little heads up and then, on Friday, I spotted that the cherry trees are in flower. As you can probably tell I love all of the spring flowers and I look forward to their arrival ..... unfortunately they give me hay fever!
Today we have a new challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges and the theme chosen by Kerry is flowers, in memory of her daughter Rhianna Lily, whose birthday it would have been this week.
Inspired by the cherry trees, I created this card.
The image is Rose Blossom by Sherri Baldy from The Scrapbook Stamp Society and the cherry blossom flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Good luck with the Challenge.
What a pretty card, Dionne! It feels springlike, even if it's not outside!
ReplyDeleteOh my! This has made me yearn for spring as the vista from the office window is nowhere near as sunny as this! I adore this card - the image is very cute (and mightily well coloured!) and the explosion of 3D flowers really brings this alive! Terrific!
ReplyDeleteAw this is lovely, fab flowers and pretty image too! Take care Zo xx
ReplyDeleteWow, wow and WOW! This is an amazing card. Coloured as always to perfection but that cascade of cherry blossom is to die for. So stunning. Not helpful when I'm trying to resist placing another WOC order !!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Dionne
