I like to spread the love wherever I can and in recent years I have made my oldest and dearest friend one or two of these patterns. Last year I made her Primrose Rabbit, she is such a little sweetheart. As I also have a Primrose Rabbit of my own, my friend decided to call her rabbit Dulcie, which means Sweet.
Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Primrose in the Pink
I like to spread the love wherever I can and in recent years I have made my oldest and dearest friend one or two of these patterns. Last year I made her Primrose Rabbit, she is such a little sweetheart. As I also have a Primrose Rabbit of my own, my friend decided to call her rabbit Dulcie, which means Sweet.
Love the cute rabbit and beautiful clothes -fabulous little hair slide and cute little flowers on her shoes

Thank you Carol. The flowers on her shoes are the same as the one in her hair - I stitched them to little brooch pins, so they can be moved around.

Great idea with the brooch pins-thank you for your comment on my vintage card I learnt on a typewriter like that too at school.I have a confession but shhh lol mojo completely went concerning DT card so ended up stamping onto some ATCs and trading coins-quick and easy lol

Oh, you do make me laugh out loud at times Carol. I have had two years off from card making and I still have not got my mojo back - mind you I am still using up that massive stock of cards I have.
DeleteI think we must be about the same age, judging by the things we have in common. Most of my typing lessons were on an old olive green typewriter, I think it was an Imperial, but occasionally I got the old black sit-up-and-beg typewriter, which you had to manually set the tabs around the back using pegs and something which looked like a comb. Those were the days when girls were taught how to type and lay-out a document. I think the boys were taught technical drawing whilst I was off breaking my nails.

Yes we were taught cooking and sewing -think those should be brought back TBH -typing/shorthand and bookkeeping-boys did tech drawing and metalwork/woodwork and the last term we swopped over a still have the fish brooch I made in metalwork!!!I will be 69yrs in Sept

Oh my goodness Carol, it is as if we went to the same school. I too did a term of metal work, we made a ring with an enameled diamond shape on the top ..... and I still have it.
DeleteI agree about bringing these subjects back, especially cooking, and I see no reason why both boys and girls cannot be taught these things - so many youngsters these days seem to eat nothing but fast food.
You are just a couple of years older than us, no wonder we have so much in common.

Where do I start. SO much to love here. The colours are just scrumptious, I especially love the contrast of dark and light pinks. The flower detail on the jumper is incredible and so pretty as is the hair clip. If you don't make and sell the animals and outfits, you really should make hair clips and headbands. X
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you. My head is getting soo large here. Ha ha.
