Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Merci

I decided to try something a little different with this poppy stamp.  First I stamped Stampin' Ups ' A World of Thanks' stamp with vintage photo ink.

I then stamped over it with Penny Black's 'Poppy Time' stamp using black ink. I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers before mounting it on red and silver glitter card. The sentiment is from CraftWork Cards.

I hope you have a great weekend.

  1. Beautiful Dionne! I love the double stamping technique, I really don't use this one often enough!! The background stamp is wonderful, love the way it shows through as a shadow on the poppy petals! Gorgeous!! hugs :)

    1. I have never tried this technique before but was pleased with the result. I was tempted to add more colour to the poppy to blot out the other stamp but that would defeat the purpose of over stamping, wouldn't it?

    1. Thank you, you really are so kind. I had planned more poppy stamps but time has defeated me and I shall have to move on to a new topic.
