Before we go anywhere today I need to apologise, I meant to post this wall hanging last week but things at home got a little complicated, I am sure you have been there from time to time. So this post is, as they say, better late than never.
I purchased the MDF letters and heart from Barry on ebay. I gave them a coat of Gesso and, once they were dry, I painted them with acrylic paint.
I also purchased the buttons from ebay and used these to cover the painted letters and heart, just look at the shapes and textures that came in the bag of red buttons.
Wow, stunning Dee!! I am a huge fan of your button letters, it's what first drew me to your blog! These are just amazing. I love the colours and the addition of the butterfly and little flowers just make it all that more beautiful! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, they are so easy to do and they make a lovely gift, especially for one of the girls. When I gave them away last year one or two friends asked me to do something for their OHs so they could hang them in their bedrooms. This was my solution.

Have been waiting for you to post this ever since it was on the Crafty Boots blog. What a fabulous idea and how beautifully executed. I don't know how you have the patience to do all those buttons. The heart is a brilliant touch and those red buttons are gorgeous. xx
ReplyDeleteSorry it took me so long to post this one. I enjoy getting lost in glueing the buttons, although I do get very messy. I tried an ampersand but I did not think it looked as good as the heart. You must try this some time.
