Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

My Recipe Book
Hi and welcome to my blog.
It's time for another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges, for the next two weeks our mantra is Food, Glorious Food.
I decided it was time the notebook I keep all my favourite recipes in, had a new cover.
The little cook image is from The Stamping Boutique and is called Audrey the Chef. I coloured it with a combination of Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Wink of Stella pens. The ribbons are from The Paper Company.
The backing paper is from a Forever Friends CD. The pink, brown and vanilla colours of this paper always remind me of the Neopolitan ice cream we had when I was a child - whenever it was my turn to pick the ice cream, I could never decide which flavour I wanted, so naturally, I went for all of them in the one block! (Now I think about it, I don't have enough ice cream in my life these days.)
I added a polka dot cupcake case, a doily and a few coffee beans - because I love my coffee and cake. The letters I made on the computer.
Now, don't forget to pop over to the Crafty Boots Challenges blog to see all of the fabulous projects the rest of the Design Team have come up with.
I hope to see you back here soon.

I love this so much! I love how it will be lovingly used and that you'll be filled with pride every time you use it and I love how you took the theme and did the best idea! You're so clever!
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned Mountboard - I use it with Sizzix dies without any problem - with both my Cuttlebug and Vagabond. You'd be amazed what I cut through with them! Have a fab day!
I love this, such a great idea covering notebooks, recipe books etc, must do this myself. Zo xx
