Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Advent Countdown - Day 20

Day 20 of my Advent adventure and I have feeling that this is going to be a very confusing post to write. I do apologise if I do not make a lot of sense.

Do you remember the beanie hat on Day 13?  In that post I told you how, when I was making the knickers with the holly leaf motif, they reminded me of antlers.  Well, before I made the beanie hat, I made these knickers and worked out the antler design, with the red bead to represent Rudolph's red nose.  I know, it is a little stylised, but I think you can see where I am coming from.

The knicker pattern is based on a Mary Jane's Tearoom design and they are made of super soft 4 ply cotton.

Thank you for your continued support, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you being here with me.  I am planning two more posts today, so see you later.

    1. Thank you, though just as well they are not for a person because I should think that sitting on all those beads would be very uncomfortable.

  2. Love the antlers design, especially the little bead for the nose. The edging is so pretty x

    1. Thank you, I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I just hope my friend can work out which go together - not that it matters if they wear the wrong knickers!
