Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Advent Countdown - Day 15

Day 15.  Where is this month going, how are your holiday preparations coming along?  I have finished my cards and, more or less, finished buying presents and everything is wrapped.  This weekend I am hoping to get a few decorations up.

Today's Advent present is another pair of knickers, I have given these a mistletoe motif with clusters of tiny off-white seed beads - I am afraid that they do not show up very well against the white background.  The leaves are the same green shade of 4 ply cotton yarn as I used for the elf costume.

I have a bit of a treat for you now, two new photographs of Elvin the Elf showing off his new hats and his snowman jumper.

That is it for today, thank you so much for visiting my blog, please come back again tomorrow.

    1. Ha ha, thank you. That is indeed a view of the sea, but not my home. Elvin really fell on his feet when my friend found him in her garden. My friend has been sending me all of these fabulous pics of Elvin in his new hats, counting down to Christmas.

    3. Umm, 99% of the time it really is gorgeous but I have been there on days when the waves have been crashing into the sea wall so hard that the glasses and china in the cupboards smash together - it was just like that scene from Mary Poppins when the cannon goes off! Well, I am probably exagerating a bit.
