Just like Santa, our elf will have nice warm and dry boots for outdoors, these have toasty socks and jingly bells. Also, there are some green shoes, to match his tunic, for indoor wear - these have a strap and a button to fasten them.
One day last week there was a knock on our door and when I opened it there stood our Postman, nothing that unusul at this time of year. One of the parcels he handed me was very long and slim and when I opened it the box containied a Christmas tree. Yep, a real living Christmas tree complete with a pot, soil, moss, decoration and lights. How great is that and what a fantastic present.
The tree now stands on my kitchen window sill and really brightens the room up (although I am still fiddling with the decorations).
These are sooooo cute. Can't decide which I like best so I will have both! Love the tree, I keep seeing them and wondering if they would be as good as they appear to be. Now I know they are! X
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisette.
DeleteI have had the tree a little over a week now and it seems to be doing very well. It is spreading and filling out. I am struggling a bit to get the decoration balanced, but I am geting there, and the lights are now on. Oh, I should mention that this isn't the pot that came with it. The original pot is canvass, I had this pot on my window sill and it is a little larger than the original one.

They will be able to hear the elf coming, what with the bells on the hat and the shoes.

Love the shoes! Beautiful colors and material!
ReplyDeleteOh and so much fun to make. I have such a great time making toys, they are so quick to do and everyone loves the sentimental journey they take them on. But be warned, if you do decide to take up knitting, it is very addictive.
