Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

The Easter Bunny

Well, OK maybe not the Easter Bunny, but it is my Easter Bunny (well, it was until it went to it's forever home on Saturday).

The colour changing yarn I used to make this rabbit is amazingly soft and makes a very cuddly toy.  Unfortunately, it does not hold a shape terribly well and therefore the face is not quite as sharp as it should be ..... did I mention that it is very soft and cuddly!

I recently cleaned out my knitting bag and got rid of all of the detritus at the bottom, unfortunately this included all of the ball bands (I knew there was a reason I was keeping them), so I am afraid I cannot tell you the brand.  The pattern is from Knitables.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

PS  I am a big fan of the Knitable Teddies, here are the links to some of the others I have made:

    1. Yep, I was on role and had another clear out and all of those band went - so there will be a lot of posts where I say sorry I cannot remember the brand of wool. I made this bunny with some wool left over after making my great niece a cardigan - so they match. I suppose I should find the photos of the cardigan and post them so you can see.

  3. I'm still not getting notifications through and it was your changed FB profile pic of this cutie that made me wonder and hop over. The rainbow yarn is so pretty and you can see how soft in the photo. Adorable! X

    1. I am so pleased you thought to pop over and take a look, I have missed your visits. I no longer get notifications of posts on other peoples blogs, I can only think that Blogger has stopped providing this handy service. Since Christmas I have made a few posts which nobody appears to have spotted, they have certainly not left a comment. Makes me feel very sad for those posts, it is as if they have been bullied by the more popular posts and now they hide in the shadows!

You would just adore this cuddly bunny and it's matching cardigan! Mind you, there are a lot of cardigans on the way so you need to watch your blood pressure and not get too excited.
