Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock!

You may remember my recent post with the skeleton clock die? At the time I said that I had another idea for a layout.  Well, here it is .....

I have collected a lot of cog dies over the years, so I cut out a few, as well as the skeleton clock of course, and I put them together creating hight and extra texture to the card.  I even added a 'jewel' at the centre of the hands.  I mounted it all on some glitter board.  I wish you could see the sparkle on the board and the layers I managed to create with a little Pin Flare glue.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I really appreciate it.

    1. Thank you Carol. It was fun it make as well, although what a mess! All the little pieces out of the cogs went everywhere and had to hoover them up quickly before they walked all over the house!

      Have a great week.

  4. This is great, you have such patience as this must have been quite fiddly to assemble, but the final result so worthwhile. I love that birthday die too and it works really well with the gears x

    1. Thank you Lisette

My biggest problem with this card was making sure I kept the hight on all the additional little cogs, they kept sinking as the glue gel dried. Other than that, it was just popping out all of the holes and the mess I made! But I was pleased with the end result and the photo does not do justice to how glittery that glitter card is.
