Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Poinsettia Cards

Here are some more of the cards I have made this year using Hunkydory toppers and matching papers.  This set has poinsettia theme, a flower we readily associate with Christmas.

These card kits are designed for you to layer it all up, lots of height.  However, the cost of postage keeps climbing and in the UK postage costs are based on thickness, weight as well as size, so I have been trying to keep some of my cards flat to reduce the cost of my stamps.

Tine to check in on Daisy the Elf ....

I see it is time for the Naughty or Nice Report Cards, I wonder how the girls got on ...

I think I may have spotted the large candy cane.

Oh look, Daisy the flying elf!

  1. These have a lovely luxurious look and I especially love the layout of the third one. I love poinsettias and am a big fan of the red ones in particular. However for the past 2 or 3 years I really fancied mixing it up and having some white ones too. They are really hard to find! Yet I'm sure all the shops used to have them until I decided to get one. Particularly nice therefore to see white ones here. X

    1. When you wrote about the third card, I know you knew that I was going to have to scroll back up the page to see which card you were talking about - Admit it, you knew I would not be able to resist!

Thank you for your very kind words and good luck with your search for a white poinsettia.

    1. Thank you Carol.

I was thinking that Daisy looked a bit precarious up there on the trapeze but I had not noticed her face - she does look just a little bit terrified. Poor thing.
