Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Elf Advent - Day 2

I think this is going to be a very busy month of blogging, I hope you do not get fed-up with me popping up on your screen.

Today one of my nieces received a little ballerina outfit as her surprise gift.  The outfit consists of wrap around cardigan, a tutu and leg warmers.  My girl elf knitting patterns are by Helen Cox available from Ravelry.

I decided that I needed my own super model elf to show off the outfits to their best.  I suppose I should give her a name, any suggestions?

My niece helped Daisy the Elf into her new ballerina outfit and then Daisy climbed into their Christmas tree to hide.  I wonder how long it took the girls to find her!

Daisy also left a little message for the girls, seems the little magic door may still have a use.

And it seems that two little girls have been very busy this morning ...........

    1. Thank you. I find it so funny that the elf gets all dressed up ... with their old clothes underneath!

I wonder what the girls asked for in their letters.
