Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Pawsome Christmas

I have just managed to slip this post in under the wire to count as Christmas in July.

This jocular little Scottie dog is from the Hunkydory kit Festive Fun in their Adorable Scorable range.  All of the elements for this card have come from the kit and I have kept the design as flat as possible as I intend to send it through the post.

If you have been taking part in the Christmas in July madness, I hope you had fun.

    1. Thank you Carol. These kit cards make me very lazy, but sometimes that is just as well, because I may not get my Chrstmas cards made if I had to stamp and hand colour all of them.

I hope you had a good weekend and are ready for the coming week/month.

  3. Oh no, another missing comment Lisette, perhaps Google is having a breakdown - after all you have left rather a lot of comments today (not that I am grumbling). Your comments read .......

I wonder how/why tartan became a Christmas thing? Perhaps that a lot of it is red with green? The Scottie dog is adorable, as is the card. It reminds me of Radley handbags. xxx

    1. I suspect the tartan thing became part of Christmas with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and their shared love for the highlands of Scotland, a lot of our Christmas traditions came from them,

The Scottie dog also reminded me of Radley bags.
