Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas in July 2022

Every year I promise myself that I am going to start my Christmas cards early and this year I really did mean it - ask my friend Mrs Beez.  Here we are in July, some of the hottest days on record for the UK, and I decide that this would be a good time to make a start on those Christmas cards.

I have, once again, reached for my Hunkydory kits, this one is Festive Fun from their Adorable Scorable range.  I have kept this card simple, so it can go through the post, all I to added to the elements from the kit was a sentiment from my stash.

Watch out for more Christmas cards.

    1. Hi Carol

I hope you do not mind me copying and pasteing your comments into this post. I received Google's email telling me you had left a comment and what you said but, your comments were not showing - so I put them on here!

Your comments will probably turn up in a few days. More
      blogger problemd it seems.

I know, who else would wait for a heat wave to make Christmas cards? It must be what it is like to live in Australia. I usually leave Christmas cards until the last minute too.

  2. I have a great fondness for the Scandanavian Tomte/Nisse gnome Santa so this ticks all the boxes for me - love it! You've also beaten me to it with getting some cards completed! My burst of energy back in April seems to have fizzled out and I'm left with a pile of die cuts :) x

    1. Ah, but we both know that when that urge to create hits you, your cards will be magnificent. I can't wait to see what you come up with this year.
