Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Christmas 2022

Well, would someone like to explain to me where the past twelve months have gone? Apologies for the lack of recent posts, I have been busy crafting and most of it I remembered to photograph, so there is plenty to share with you once I find the time.

I have a very quick and easy trio of cards to share with you today. Recently I have been somewhat obsessed with buying new metal dies, I just do not seem able to resist them, This nativity scene is one of my many recent acquisitions, there was no name on the packaging but I can tell you that the green card came from Stampin' Up and the gold and silver mirri card came from eBay.

Of coarse, we all know the real reason I am here today and it has nothing to do with these quick and easy cards and everything to do with the little matter of the return of those lovable little of monsters known as the Elves on the Shelf. Unfortunately, Daisy and Danny and their archenemis Ant and Dec Elves are unable to return to their household at the moment because the family are all poorly with COVID.

However, under cover of darkness the night before last Louis and Coco made it back to their worldly home and it appears they may not have been alone!!!!!

I have a funny feeling that Louis and Coco are not going to have such an easy time of things this year.  Watch this space .....

  4. Lovely to see both you and the elves back. These cards are stunning. I was thrilled with my gold and green version but the white looks stunning too. Keep buying the dies, that's what I say!! Xx

    1. Yeah, but you know exactly how to get me into trouble Mrs Beez - not that I actually need leading astray. I have hidden so many craft suppies (mostly dies) in amongst my Christmas orders that dies seem to be arriving every day.

So pleased to hear that your Advent card has at last arrived. The white one is actually silver but the camera light turned it white!

      More elf news tomorrow.
