Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

O Little Town of Bethlehem

In recent years I have used Hunkydory Crafts pre-coloured toppers with matching backing cards to make my Christmas cards.  They make life so much easier when you have a lot of cards to make. I just add a few embellishments from my crafty stash here and there.

I really enjoy Christmas Carols and O Little Town of Bethlehem is one of my favourites.  The first cards in this post were inspired by this carol.  These cards have a highly reflective surface and the light bounces off them.  I tried to angle the cards to avoid the worst of the glare but that does show the image at an odd angle.

Now it is time to drop in to see what all of those little elves have been up to, just a couple of photographs today.

Our first visit is to Daisy and Danny who have apparently, been swallowing their bubble gum.  It seems that what your mother always told you about bubble gum is true!

Those elves are so naughty, shall we see what Louise and Coco got up to?

They are playing in their ball pond and wanted to congratulate the children for writing to Santa.

Back tomorrow with more elf stories

  2. Another beautiful batch. I wish you could have heard my reactions as I scrolled down the page.I like each of them for different reasons - I'm particularly drawn to the Partridge in a Pear Tree as that has always been my favourite song. And as for those elves!! I can barely look at their bubblegum antics! Xxx

    1. Thsnk you for your lovely comments Mrs Beez. at the moment it feels like I spend all of my time setting up posts .... warning there is a lot of knitting to come. However, I miss your posts, it's not the same without them.

I cannot believe how naughty those elves have been this year, shocking!
