Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Green Fairies

I was quite impressed with the Hunkydory Christmas cards I made last month, so I thought I would buy a couple of their birthday card sets to see what they were like.

They are designed on exactly the same principle - a sheet of mixed toppers and sentiments with two sheets of matching backing card.  This set features green fairies and snowdrops.

The only thing I added to this set was glue and ribbon.  The card is very high gloss and looks great but oh so difficult to photograph.

    1. Aren't they? Quick and easy to make and they look good. Only drawback, I wouldn't say they are cheap - but neither are shop bought birthday cards.

  2. How lovely are these? Love your designs. I'm hoping for an enhanced display of snowdrops this year. Ours have slowly dwindled and we finally planted some more last year. When I say we, obviously I mean Phil!!! xx

    1. Oh, I love all of the spring bulbs, from the early snowdrops and crocuses to the daffodils, bluebells and tulips. They lift my heart after the grey of winter.
