Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Silver Grey Cardigan

Good morning, I hope you are well?

Today I have a grey baby cardigan to share with you.  Grey is not a colour I normally associate with babies, but I guess that is showing my age, as darker colors are quite on trend at the moment.

This is a very basic Double Knit pattern from the BHKC, pattern number 3, the yarn is from one of the King Cole ranges.  The best thing about this pattern is it is so quick and easy to make, you can quite literally make it in a few evenings.

I wanted a wooden button to go with this colour and came across these grey and white striped ones on Ebay.  Oddly, the stripes go in all different directions, so you cannot line them up. terrible if you have OCD.

    1. Thank you Carol, I guess you are right, this colour will go with anything. The buttons were a bit of a surprize, they do not look like wood but I asssure you they are.
