Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

These Boots are Made For ........

Well, this is a new one for me.  Back when my sisters were having their children I crocheted many a pram sets, with matching booties and mittens, but I have not attempted booties since I learnt how to knit.

After making the little cardigans I have been  posting recently, I found that I had a little of the yarn left over.  So, I downloaded a number of bootie patterns and had a go.  Once I got the hang of it, I think got a little carried way.

Each of these designs are slightly different but they are all made from double knit baby soft yarn.

I know which were my favourite, how about you?

Have a great day.

  1. This is an amazing collection and I can't believe you've never knitted booties before given how great these are. Love seeing them all together x

    1. I'm not sure babies wear booties these days but I really did enjoy these quick little projects.

I downloaded a lot more bootie patterns but some of them were beyond my skill level.

    1. Ha ha, I like the mint and the similar white ones the best. Sad to think that they probably will never be worn, but they were fun to make - I think because they were so quick to make, especially after making the blanket.

      Have a great weekend.
