Welcome

Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.

I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Sottish Harbour Scene

Monday already, where do the weekends go?  Not only has the weekend flown by but it is time of a new challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.

For the next two weeks the challenge is to share with us your 'Masculine Cards'.  They can by Father's Day cards, Happy Anniversary Dear Husband cards, man or boy birthday cards or even a get well card for a sick little boy.  It can be anything you like, just as long as it is for a man or boy and, of course, a card.

Here is my Design Team card.

This lovely 'Harbour Scene' is from Delicious Doodles.  I coloured the image with my F&C polychromos pencils and mounted it on alternating navy and white card.  The anchor was from my stash and the sentiment was from Craftwork Cards.

I think this view looks like Cullen in Moray, but I am not sure.  Does anyone know?

Our wonderfully talented Design Team have been very busy making cards to inspire you, please take a look whilst you are entering your cards in this Crafty Boots Challenge.

Good luck.

  2. What an amazing scene Dionne, although where it is...beyond me!! This image would work for any occasion, but when combined with the rich blue tones and silver accents, it makes a wonderful masculine creation!! hugs :)

    1. Thank you Pamellia. I do love these Delicious Doodle scenes and you are quiet right, they could be used for so many purposes - I have even thought about framing them and hanging them on the wall.

  3. Almost missed this one! The way you colour these images makes them good enough to frame. The mats and layers you've used look superb, so perfectly done. xx

  4. Aww, shucks! It's all done by eye you know. I am infuriating to live with, any picture not hanging just perfect drives me insane.
