Hands up who had a cardigan like this when they were little? I certainly did, this is a very similar pattern to the ones my mother and granny made for me. I made this one for my youngest niece.
Cross Stitch, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, card making, scrapbook and wedding stationery.
Welcome
Hello, my name is Dionne and I have been crafting for a very long time. As a very young child my mother tried to teach me to knit, it was a disaster. However, it must have sparked an interest in making things and, partly to prove that I was not totally useless and partly because I really wanted to make things, I taught myself to crochet. Over the years I have developed a love of cross stitch and all types of paper craft ..... I eventually even taught myself to knit.
I am married to a very understanding man, thank goodness, because I spend all my time either crafting, thinking about crafting or talking about crafting. I am hopeless at housework and dinner is often late!
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Romeo Bear
I have a number of knitting projects to share with you at the moment but I want to pace my posts because knitting projects take a lot longer than cards, but it is hard to decide which to show you first. However, I am so excited about this one and I could not wait to show you any longer.
This is Romeo Bear, he is another pattern from Susan Hickson and Mary Jane's Tearoom. You can buy the pattern on-line from Ravelry. I think he has to be my favourite knitted project so far, isn't he is a cutie?

Two of a Kind
Last summer I knitted quite a few cardigans for my little nieces but I never got the chance to post them. I thought today might be a good day to share these two with you. I made them for sisters to wear on a special occasions we all went to last summer. I wanted them to match but, as the two girls are similar in size, I made them with little differences so they could be told apart at a glance.

Cat Girl
I discovered this series of knitting animals by Julie Williams on Pinterest a couple of years ago. They stole my heart and I started to collect the patterns from Ravelry, this one is simply called Girl Cat. The series of patterns are sold under the name of 'Little Cotton Rabbits' - there are several very sweet rabbit designs which I am sure I shall be knitting in the not too distant future.
These smaller designs are a little more fiddly than the Mary Jane's Tearoom pattern I have been sharing with you recently but they were great fun and I am sure you will be seeing more from the series in the near future.
Have a great week and thank you for dropping by.

Lapland Visitors Part II
If you saw the first part of this post you will already know that a few years ago I discovered a series of knitting patterns on Ravelry published under the name of 'Mary Jane's Tearoom', they were designed by Susan Hickson. The first pattern I made was Bo and here is his adorable sister Anaka - I should warn you that there are a lot of photographs in this post.

Lapland Visitors Part I
A few years ago I discovered a series of knitting patterns on Ravelry published under the name of 'Mary Jane's Tearoom', designed by Susan Hickson. It was love at first sight but, unfortunately, I never had the time to make any of these enchanting knits however this year I promised myself that I would make at least one or two of them.
It was very difficult deciding which to make first and in the end I decided on two patterns, they were a pair of 'matched' rabbits called 'Lapland Visitors'. I started with 'Bo', and I should warn you that there are a lot of photos in this post.
I should like to introduce you to 'Bo'.

Aran Jacket
I thought I would share a little chunky jacket with you today. I am afraid that my photographic skills really let me down when it comes to knitted objects and I could really do with some tips on how present them to show them at their best.
