At about the same time as my sister asked me to make a couple of baby sized cardigans for her friend who was about to become a granny for the first time, my niece asked me to make the same for her sister-in-law, who had just announced that she was pregnant. They had shared with the family that they knew they were expecting a little girl and so I chose some pretty pink yarn for this set.
In all, I made her three little cardigans with matching beanie hats, this is the first of them. The pattern is from a company called Dolliebabies, which I recently found them on the internet when I was looking for premature baby clothes, they have some many pretty patterns.
The yarn I used was a baby soft double knit by James C Brett which had been left over from some other project. Come to think of it the pretty pink buttons were also left over from something or another I had made in the past.

Thank you Carol. It makes such a nice change to make something small - my nieces and nephews are getting quite big now and their knits take so much longer to make.

This looks sooo soft. Another beautiful colour and pattern. xxx
ReplyDeleteMany thanks MrsBeez. They are pretty soft, a bit like knitting with mist.
